WINTER SAFETY

Hey guys! If you've been following my story for a while, you all know how important it is for me to spend time with each kid alone, and that I used to do it a lot with the boys while I was pregnant. It's much easier to spend alone time with Yuli, my oldest, since he is big and understands and passed the trouble twos syndrome ages ago LOL, and every time I take him out it feels like I'm having a date with my boyfriend :) We go out to eat, watch movies, or do activities that he likes.

This time I decided to take Ori for a "date". We hadn’t spent time together just the two of us since Romi was born, and I always tell other friends that I heard that kids most memorable moments from their childhood are the ones spent with their parents without their siblings, so I'm so glad we did this. Ori and I headed to the city to see every kids biggest dream- the fire truck.

We stopped by the fire zone at the Rockefeller center and we had so much fun!! We had the opportunity to hope on a fire truck, Ori was exploring the sounds and the hats and was amazed by the smoke, while I got some info from AccuWeather and FDNY Foundation about safety.

As a mom, safety is so important to me, and I really feel like there’s so many important things to know about winter safety, especially when you have kids. Here are some tips to keep all of us safe: * Keep your heater at least 3 feet away from blankets, curtains, furniture, etc!

* Check your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors every few months. * Rain and snow around 40 degrees can lead to hypothermia, so make sure you don't leave the house if it's not really necessary and that you have proper clothes!

* If you live in NY, you know how excited the kids are when it snows so they can slide! Well, sledding so much fun, but make sure it’s not too steep:)

I know it’s super obvious, but make sure your kiddos are really warm when they’re out! Mittens, scarves, hats, and layers are a total must, and always bring extra layers with you just in case, and changing clothes too... Hope you all have a great holiday season and a fun winter! Neshikot= Xx
